Welcome New PhD Student: Cai Qingyuan 🎉🎉🎉🎉

We’re delighted to welcome Cai Qingyuan as a new PhD student in our lab at NUS.

Qingyuan completed his undergraduate studies at Franklin & Marshall College (USA). He previously trained under A/Prof Sun Ji, who has returned to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Following this transition, Qingyuan has officially joined our group.

Qingyuan’s research will focus on protein design, integrating computational modeling with experimental validation to engineer proteins with novel functions and improved performance. His interests align closely with the lab’s efforts at the interface of structural biology, CRISPR systems, and translational bioengineering.
